THE DRUM is an iconic building in Dandenong that has become the centre for the Arts in the south eastern suburbs and transformed the City of Dandenong. The project involved the redevelopment of the original Dandenong Town Hall and Mechanics Institute into a state of the art 500 seat Performing Arts Theatre. The heritage building was transformed back to its original glory whilst the new facility included dance studio, function rooms and café for the public.
